Welcome to St Andrew’s on the Terrace. We are glad you have managed to navigate your way to our site.
St Andrews on the Terrace prides itself in being a progressive, inclusive, rainbow church in the heart of the Wellington CBD. Our mission statement says:
Wherever you are on your faith journey, wherever you have come from and wherever you are going to, whatever you believe, whatever you do not believe, you are welcome here.
We recognise that being inclusive is an ongoing journey and we are continuing to learn. We are committed to challenging discrimination within the church and wider society
We are a Peace church and nuclear free zone, and have been so since 1983. Social Justice, inclusivity, the environment, and climate change (to name a few) are just some of the issues and causes that we feel strongly about. We endeavour whenever possible to represent people and issues as deemed necessary. We are also a Living Wage Employer and advocate.
Our Conference centre and church is a meeting place for many groups around Wellington, including various Ministries within the Government, as well as private groups and NGOs.
We would love for you to join us for our Sunday morning Worship service at 10am, even if you’re only visiting Wellington, or pop in to see our church and complex.
