On behalf of the Japanese Society of Auckland, it is our pleasure to introduce the Isomura Brothers and their forthcoming Tsunami Violin Concert. This is a charity concert, and all the profits will go towards the victims of the Tohoku Earhquake/Tsunami of 2011.
Tsunami Violin – The violin symbolising hope, made from the remaining driftwood of the Tohoku Earthquake/Tsunami of 2011 is now brought by the Isomura Brothers for the first time to New Zealand as a part of a global music project, “Bonds made of a thousand tones’. This project involving 1000 violinists around the globe performing on this special violin in relay.
The Isomura Brothers(Kent and Shauno) are a New Zealand-based young Japanese piano + violin duo who have won numerous national and international awards. The concert programme comprises some of the most renowned Japanese composers’ classical music.
