“Dark Shapes Against The Sky” – Old and New Songs from Aotearoa and Europe
Friends and frequent collaborators Barbara Paterson (soprano) and Gabriela Glapska (piano) present a concert of luminous art songs from past and present Aotearoa and Europe. This new programme highlights the duo’s gleeful, keen interest in contemporary art music, while staying true to their deep affection for the lush romanticism of 19th century Lieder.
Featuring works by Dame Gillian Karawi Whitehead, Robert Schumann, Kaija Saariaho, György Kurtág, Salina Fisher and Rosa Elliott
Sat 2. November 2:30 – 4:00pm
$40/$20
