Children’s programme
St Andrew’s Sunday children’s programme is called the Rainbow Room. It is a place where children can hear stories, ask questions and have fun together as they explore faith, life and the world. The programme follows the themes of the Sunday Gatherings and helps children to find out about themselves and others. Regular themes include peace, inclusion, the Earth and the environment.

The Rainbow Room programme uses a Progressive Christianity curriculum called A Joyful Path. This programme uses stories of faith, both past and contemporary, to develop positive qualities in the children’s lives. It also encourages them to reflect on how these issues affect others.
Time with the Children
At most Sunday Gatherings the children join their families at the beginning of the service. They are then invited to take part in Time with the Children when different members of the congregation offer stories or insights from their experiences.
After this the children leave the congregation for the Rainbow Room programme. Once a month they share what they have done in the Rainbow Room with the congregation.
St Andrew’s is an accredited Kids Friendly church. This recognises the vital contribution children and families make to our community.
