Next week will be Jillene’s last week with us as she is leaving us. If you get an opportunity ring the office and wish her well before she goes. We wish Jillene well in her new endeavours.
So lovely walking into the office on Tuesday to the sounds of Aroha International Music Academy string orchestra. The Academy is renting our buildings for the whole week, it has been very soothing.
On Wednesday evening I was invited to do opening prayers for Uni Lodge’s residence concert and join them for supper. It was a great time to meet the students and residents of Stafford House Unilodge. They are quite a talented bunch from the different items that were performed. I enjoyed it very much even though I was the oldest person there!
After becoming unconditional on my house there was one more hiccup and a major one for me at that. I needed to give 30 days’ notice to withdraw my term investment. Settlement date is 5th, and I can only receive it on 11th August there is no negotiation. So, I have to take out an overdraft for a week at 19%, would you believe that? Just got a call from BNZ as I was writing this, and they have managed to change my interest rate to 1.85% very different to 19% very grateful. That’s a huge difference, I wonder what happened there?
I’m being harassed almost on a daily basis for open home viewings which I’m absolutely fed up with. Having to tidy my house meticulously and organise for my dogs to be out of the house during this time. I told the real estate that it was very inconvenient, and he went straight to the landlord to complain (it’s his father-in-law) like a great big sooky bubba. The father-in-law quickly got back to me reading me the riot act. Lord get me out of this place!!!! Two very frustrating events in my life in the last few days. I think I’m reaching my tolerance levels which is very unusual for me, I’m generally very patient.
Hoping to go to the All Blacks game on Saturday my friend Eroni Clark might be able to score a complimentary for me but unfortunately his son Caleb who is in the All Black squad has a ham string injury and is not playing. So, he has no complimentary tickets to give away. Failing that I will go to a sports bar with a friend and watch the game there. Go the AB’s!
Hope you have a great weekend. Fei
