Join us for a wonderful programme of Debussy’s:Prelude No.7/II: La terrasse des audiences du clair de lune and Liszt’s complete first volume “Switzerland” from the years of Pilgrimage.
The recital will begin with the mysterious and exquisite Prelude and the main part of the program is dedicated to the first volume – Switzerland from the Years of Pilgrimage by Franz Liszt. These are among Liszt’s most celebrated masterworks and the summation of his musical style. This is also the research topic for Luu’s doctoral thesis. Luu is thrilled to begin his own “pilgrimage” in Wellington, New Zealand, examining the spiritual experiences of Liszt’s Romantic soul and sharing his first performance in the capital.
