Lectures held at St Andrew's are organised by the St Andrew’s Trust for the Study of Religion and Society
Singer Roger Wilson and pianist Guy Donaldson, who have performed together on and off since 1976, present a concert in which the two septuagenarian performers celebrate “mature” years in song. The programme finds thematic riches in Schubert lieder and in Brahms. It enjoys the whimsy of Rossini’s Sins of His Old Age, tilts at windmills in Ravel’s Don Quixote songs, draws from village life in songs by Poulenc and comes home to New Zealand in the iconic Douglas Lilburn Song Cycle Sings Harry where an old man looks back over his life.
